Beware of That Friend!

Two men were travelling together, when a Bear suddenly came approaching them on their path. One of them climbed up quickly into a tree and concealed himself in the branches. The other, seeing that he must be attacked, fell flat on the ground, and when the Bear came up and felt him with his snout, and smelt him all over, he held his breath, and feigned the appearance of death as much as he could. He had thought the man had died!

The Bear soon left him, for it is said he will not touch a dead body, lest he died too. When he was quite gone, the other traveller descended from the tree, and jocularly inquired of his friend what it was the Bear had whispered in his ear.  
     
 "He gave me a PRICELESS advice," his companion replied. "And what could that be"? The other friend enthused to which he replied...

"Never travel with a friend who deserts you at the approach of danger."

Watch the kind of friend you keep, if a friend cannot watch your back, he is no friend but FIEND and foe.

Are You Treating Your Kids Like Your Career?

And, we see this all the time. Hey,listen I've heard evidence of this phenomenon at the hairdresser, nail salon, at high school softball games, or at the grocery store. Mothers move in closer to each other and start to talk to one other very seriously and very competitively about their kids' achievements, successes, activities but certainly not about their disappointments, feelings, or emotional concerns.
