Old man charged with abusing elderly after his wife caught him on dating site.

76-year-old man was arrested and charged with abusing an elderly woman, who is his wife.

The elderly couple of Palm Beach, Florida, who has been married for 33 years, got into a fight after the wife caught her husband on a dating website.

Sylvia Aronson, 77, slapped her husband in the face after she caught him looking at the Internet dating site.

In response, Edward Aronson pushed his wife to the ground, which resulted in her breaking her right hip.

The man called for help and emergency workers took her to the Bethesda West Hospital for treatment.

The couple did not tell doctors about the fight, but a nurse, Lori Leisen, overheard Edward Aronson telling someone on the phone that Sylvia Aronson had accused him of cheating, she got angry and started screaming and slapped him, in return he pushed her.

The police were called and the husband confessed to what had happened, according to the police report.

The police officer noted that Edward had a red mark on the left side of his face, and the woman refused to give police a statement.

Edward Aronson was charged with two felony counts of mistreatment of a person over the age of 65.
