The bodies of a woman and her young son have been found in a house in Midlothian.
The discovery was made in the town of Bonnyrigg at 18:30 on Saturday.Police Scotland said the alarm was raised by a member of the public who was concerned about the family. The boy is thought to be under five years old.
A 32-year-old man is being treated in hospital following the deaths. Police said they were not looking for anyone else in relation to the matter.
